Behind Moredillo & Co. is a love of cinema, editorial photography and the art of visual storytelling. Founded by British wedding photographer and filmmaker Amy Morton, the studio brings together cinematic wedding films, ethereal photography and a distinctive creative vision shaped by fashion, film and nostalgia.

Self-Portraiture

Both of these photographs are self-portraits, photographed and created entirely by me. Self-portraiture has always been a way for me to experiment with light, colour and composition, while giving me an understanding of what it's like to be in front of the camera as well as behind it.

It's a perspective I bring to my work as a wedding photographer, particularly when helping people feel comfortable and natural in front of the lens.

a Cinematic point of View

I've always loved cinema, particularly films so visually beautiful that I want to pause them just to appreciate a single frame. The Sound of Music has been a favourite for as long as I can remember. Its rich colour, softness and texture, the sweeping Austrian landscapes and beautiful architecture still feel extraordinary more than sixty years later.

I have an equal love for romantic comedies, particularly Notting Hill and Pretty Woman for their warmth and nostalgia. Pride & Prejudice draws me in with its misty English countryside, historic houses and romantic atmosphere. Wes Anderson inspires the more considered side of my work, from symmetry and precise framing to extraordinary colour palettes, while La La Land is a favourite for its saturated colour, dramatic lighting and movement.

Beyond cinema, I'm drawn to fashion editorials, Renaissance paintings and old-world romance. The direction and composition of fashion photography, the light and gesture of classical paintings, and the atmosphere of historic interiors all influence how I see and create.

These influences are woven throughout my editorial wedding photography, 35mm film photography and cinematic wedding filmmaking, shaping everything from composition and colour to the atmosphere of the finished photographs and films.

The Story of Moredillo

Moredillo combines my surname, Morton, with my childhood nickname, Armadillo. ‘More’ was also my very first word, giving the name a personal history long before the brand existed.

The armadillo emblem at the heart of Moredillo & Co. began as an original metal sculpture I designed and handcrafted myself. From the initial sketches to the casting and welding, the sculpture became the inspiration for my hand-designed logo and the visual identity of the studio.

That same dedication to artistry and craftsmanship carries through to my photography and filmmaking. Every photograph is individually edited, every wedding film carefully constructed, with meticulous attention to composition, colour and the smallest details.

Today, Moredillo & Co. is an independent British creative house specialising in editorial wedding photography, authentic 35mm film photography and cinematic wedding films. Rooted in the arts and guided by a singular creative vision, Moredillo brings a distinctive cinematic perspective to weddings across the UK and beyond.
